Tefillin and mezuzah checking

Tefillin and mezuzot ought to be checked periodically, in case natural processes have rendered the parchments non-kosher.

I can check tefillin and mezuzot if you mail them to me. Doing them onsite is not so optimal, but it can be arranged.
